The Ontario Power Authority has once again renewed for 2014 the
Heating and Cooling Incentive in an attempt to help lower energy consumption
by customers. This will lower hydro bills and reduce strain on the electrical grid.
Customers can elect to step up to a better product line and get a rebate.
-- A $250.00 rebate is available with the replacement purchase of a High Efficient
Furnace equipped with an Electronically Commutated Motor ( ECM )
-- A $250.00 rebate is available for replacement of an existing central air system
with an ENERGY STAR system having minimum 14.5 SEER and 12.0 EER
OR
-- A $400.00 rebate is available for replacement of an existing central air system
with an ENERGY STAR system having a minimum 15.0 SEER and 12.5 EER
A maximum rebate of $650.00 per system can be applied for if criteria are met.
( eg. a home possessing two furnace and A/C systems , could apply twice )
Does not apply to - Heat Pumps, including geothermal
- Ductless systems
- Air Handlers or Thermostats
